The Office of the Treaty Commissioner website provides wonderful lesson plans and resources for educators teaching about Treaties in Canada. The Teacher Wikispace is a place where teachers can share lesson plans, SMART Board activities, interactive Powerpoint activities, and novel studies about Treaty and Aboriginal  content. As well, the OTC website provides options to purchase Treaty in the Classroom kits and has teacher resources such as Treaty guides. Treaty in the classroom common themes can be accessed here.This website is phenomenal for Canadian teachers to share and collaborate with different ideas! I would strongly suggest utilizing this resource!

Some of my favourite lessons that I used with my Grade 4/5 class were:

• The Spirit and Intent of the Treaties (SMART Board)
• Communication Barriers between Cultures
• Ceremonies of Thanksgiving
